Get with the times
I am getting sick of people only designing web apps that run on Internet Explorer! A company like Intuit has had a HORRIBLE track record with Quickbooks for the Mac! It caused us nothing but headache when tax season rolled around and we discovered that they don’t support an accountant export!
UPDATE: Not only is it bad enough that they don’t support Mac they have an iPhone version of the site. Now seriously does this make any sense. You have an online service that supports the iPhone but not Safari or Mozilla Firefox!! This would actually push me over the edge and make me keep using Quickbooks but nope!

Coffee Snob
Coffee is pretty much an essential part of my day but sometimes I have to weigh the need versus the taste. The hotel we are staying in has this fancy single cup brewer that brews directly into one mug. It tastes alright but required slot of sugar and cream to cover up the nastiness!

A Nasty Storm
This is an ugly looking storm. I am releaved that it did not have to come to us, but you never wish this danger and threat on anyone.
My prayers are with the people of Texas and Southwest Louisiana tonight.

Snoring in Doctor’s Office
We are waiting for our first visit with the baby doctor and this old guy is snoring VERY LOUDLY in the waiting room. I hope he hasn’t been here since his wife’s first visit!

Apple & Everyday Computing
Sights like this remind me of how much Apple really has become a daily cultural phenomenon. It used to be Apple was the odd ball hippy/ designer company, but know Barnes and Noble has a section for Apple and the everyday computing tasks!

iPhone 2.0 REAL-Update
Well I, and a whole bunch of other people decided to jump the gun and do the iPhone 2.0 update before Apple “officially released it”. It turns out that the update that was released is actually designed for the iPhone 3G. Macrumours.com is reporting that those who used the “unofficial” update should follow the steps to re-update their phone.
- Sync your iPhone with iTunes 7.7 to make sure all data is backed up.
- Download iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw (Official firmware). You should get a single “.ipsw” file. If your browser renames it to a .zip file, you should rename it to “.ipsw”
- In iTunes click on the “Check for Updates” while holding the Option key on the Mac (Shift key on Windows)
- Select the firmware you downloaded in step #2
- Wait for your iPhone to update and restore.
